Why you should not give up your favorite foods during the diet

Many people trying to lose weight, clean from the diet of favorite foods and replace them with things they don’t like. Don’t do that, the researchers from Baylor University.

Instead, experts suggest simply eating more healthy food. The study involved 542 volunteer. Scientists have focused on the self-control of the participants, writes The Indian Express.

Volunteers were asked to tell what rules they would use to change your diet for the better. The majority of participants spoke about the limitations and the exclusion of certain products. It turned out, these rules were mostly invented by people with low levels of self-control, that is, those who are harder to reach the goal.

The researchers noticed that when participants were asked about the harmful food that you want to exclude from the diet, volunteers with low levels of self-control to think about their most favorite products. People with high levels of self-control also thought about the foods that they liked. However, it was the products from which they could not refuse.

When it was about healthy food, people with low levels of self-control immediately come to mind products that they did not like. And participants with a high level of self-control thought about the food you love. Experts came to the conclusion that various constraints prevent people to lose weight.
