Researchers of the University of Bern in Switzerland, spoke about the “twins” of the Earth.
They asked all the same planets are situated in the zone of low-mass stars. In order to verify this, the specialists had to create a computer model of our Universe.
It was found that the probability of the existence of Earth-like planets is very large. Scientists focused on the fact that such celestial bodies are in the area of low-mass stars.
Experts believe that they may contain water or liquid, which composition is close to human needs. That “twins” of the Earth exist, researchers argue for a long time.
Only now with high accuracy they were able to find traces of exoplanets suitable for life. One of such celestial bodies is Proxima b. Computer modeling showed that analogs of our planet are located around red dwarfs.
The water area of such analogues is of the order of 10%, which is 500 times bigger than our planet. The researchers emphasized that about 90% of these celestial bodies might be habitable.
