In one of the caves located on the territory of Georgia the team of archaeologists managed to find colored linen fiber, which allowed the scientists to conclude that clothing was the ancient people not only a means of protecting the body from cold and cover their nakedness, but also a kind of decoration. The ancients decorate themselves with body image on different characters, but with the onset of cold weather, the role of decorations began to carry clothing.
Still, the main purpose of clothing in the modern world, protection from the weather: it is warming in cold periods and heat protection in the heat. According to scholar Ian Gilligan, people invented clothing to compensate for the lack of hair, which in a large number of our ancestors had.
