The researchers conducted a series of scientific experiments to learn how to eat 12 thousand random people. The volunteers were diet diaries, in which he wrote daily what foods and in what quantities they used. In addition, participants indicated their psychological state.

In 2007, 2009 and 2013, the scientists collected data. All the diaries were carefully studied and correlated with reports on morale after the ingestion of food throughout the day.

The result was that the volunteers who regularly consumed an extra portion of fruit and vegetables, felt much better. This has led to the conclusion that proper nutrition has a direct impact on the level of happiness.

Scientists explain that a beneficial effect on human health depends on the carotenoids contained in fruits and vegetables. These elements are involved in redox balance in the human body, thus they affect the hormone levels. So people feel much happier.

Participants were told that many do not seek to change your diet because a healthy lifestyle does not bring instant results.
