Scientists claim that older drivers have a very rich experience, but worse drivers than the young, due to the fact that often distracted.

American scientists from Wayne state University in Detroit found that older drivers who, as a rule, are regarded as more secure than young drivers are much more likely to have an accident if they are trying to send a message on the phone while driving.
It was found that, despite less experience of driving, young motorists are less distracted by cell phone while sending text messages than their older counterparts.
And although, as a rule, people believe that young drivers are distracted easier and therefore more susceptible to the dangers of driving, however, research has shown the opposite. Experts have tested the driving of 50 motorists aged between 18 to 59 years, all of which had smartphones.
The study found that when sending a message, about 50% of all drivers deviate from the line of their movement, trying to type text. However, among those aged 45 to 59 years 100% of motorists departed from the line of its movement, when typed the message.
Among the subjects aged 35 to 44 years, these people were 80%, and among young people from 25 to 35 years – 40%. The safest group in this respect were drivers aged between 18 and 24 years, where only a quarter of motorists have strayed from their lane during typing SMS.
The results were quite alarming as drivers who are distracted by sending text messages less likely to be able to assess the counter-danger that increases the likelihood of accidents.
