How the coins got into the Japanese castle, the researchers can not explain.
In the castle in Japan, managed to find ancient Roman coins. This was reported by Western news agencies with reference to sources in UNESCO.
According to experts, the castle, in which were found coins, located on the island of Okinawa. These artifacts refer to about the fourth century BC. Experts note that the coins likely were transported to Japan by sea, since their surface is clearly guilty remnants of sea salt.
Archaeologists said that the coins were found at the beginning of the year, however information about this was not published because of not accurate information about their origin. Researchers at the Department of Gangō-JI Temple values of Japan said that the artifact was received in exchange for the goods at the time of the first prerequisites to trade with more southern and Western countries. Then Japan tried to mend relations with Rome.
Along with the coins in the vault were found the samurai armor that was used during sea voyages. Currently, the artifacts are laboratory studies that help to establish their exact age.
