The cluster is about 200 thousand light-years from Earth.
Scientists using a telescope “Hubble” has received the star cluster NGC 299, which is located in the constellation Toucan.
The picture was published on the website of the telescope.
NGC 299 is the so-called multiple concentration and is within the galaxy neighbor of the milky Way, the Small Magellanic cloud.
Scattered clusters – groups of stars loosely bound by gravity, which was formed from the same molecular cloud. Age and composition of all stars in the cluster are the same, but they differ in size, as formed in various parts of the cloud.
