Scientists have named five of the more popular drinks, from the use of which should be abandoned.

According to experts, some drinks that seem harmless or healthy, in fact, be harmful due to the high sugar content, carcinogens and other hazardous elements.

Coffee syrups

According to the American scientist research organization Environmental Working Group, people often prefer to add it syrups, considering them part of a healthy diet and a pleasant addition to the coffee. Actually, syrups are divided into natural, which is made of berry juice and sugar, and dessert, which include essential oils, dyes, acids and sugar.

As explained by experts, all coffee shops use exclusively dessert syrups, which may contain carcinogens and other harmful chemical elements. To minimize the consumption of such harmful substances, the researchers propose to add in coffee, cinnamon or vanilla extract.

Diet sodas

Diet soft drinks are in great demand because it is believed that they contain much less sugar. But, studies show the University of Texas at Austin, people who drink only diet soda were more prone to fat gain in the abdominal area than those who consumed regular soft drinks. In addition, because of the weight gain in the waist area increases the risk of developing type II diabetes.

Scientists at Harvard University have found that artificial sweeteners, which are used to prepare diet soda can ruin the taste buds. It is reported that these sweeteners are much sweeter than regular sugar, so, after a while, people no longer feel the sweetness of fruit and the taste of vegetables.

Concentrated juice and smoothies in bottles

According to British scientists, juices and smoothies can be on a par with carbonated drinks, based on their harm. As experts explain, because of the high content of sugar, concentrated juice is often used as a sweetener in the manufacture of soft drinks and smoothies. Thus, the person gets healthy and easy drink and quite harmful.

Scientists insist that instead of juice, consumed the fruit in its original form, because the body receives additional micronutrients, including dietary fiber, which will help to metabolize sugar and provide a feeling of satiety.

Water with fruit flavor

As explained by experts, such water is a healthy alternative to soda. But, if you look at the detail in this drink contains not only sugar, but aspartame – artificial sweetener, preservatives and even dyes. In this case, the researchers propose to abandon this drink in favor of just water or with added fresh fruit.

Nut milk with sweeteners

As explained by American scientists of the research organization Environmental Working Group, a sweeteners make the milk harmful to health as in this case, the amount of sugar in the drink is greatly increased. According to the documents of the world health organization, the daily recommended norm of consumption of sugar is 25 grams, while a small glass of sweet nutty milk contains 13 grams. Scientists suggest to limit the use of such milk in favor of the ordinary.
