Cassini got a new picture of Saturn.
The researchers of the mission, Cassini has received a photograph of Saturn and its rings, on which falls the shadow of the planet.
As reported on the NASA website, at the moment the shadow of the planet falls only on the part of Saturn’s rings, although more recently fully covered them.
The reduction of the shadow that Saturn casts on its rings, indicates a change of seasons on the planet. At the time of solstice on the planet in may 2017, the shadow of Saturn will be even shorter. At this time the shadow will extend to 45 thousand kilometers, which will allow it to only get to half rings B.
