Archaeologists who conducted the excavations of the tombs of Qutub Shahi, found the remains of an ancient mosque.
Artifacts found there indicate that this place was very popular in the 16th century.
Information about this discovery has been published overseas edition of Times of India. According to published information it is known that archaeologists have found the remains of the mosque Serai. Necessary assistance to the experts in carrying out these excavations was provided by the U.S. ambassadors Fund for cultural preservation.
On site during the excavations discovered the ancient artifacts such as cannon balls, fragments of lamps, items of Chinese porcelain and faience. Secretary for tourism B. Venkatesham confirmed that this set of tombs is unique in its kind as it represents the greatest collection of funerary structures.
