The XC40 crossover will get a hybrid powerplant.
Volvo has released the first teaser image of their new concept models. We are talking about prototypes V40 and XC40, which will be presented next week in Gothenburg.
Novelty will be built on the platform of the CMA, co-developed with parent company Geely. On this same architecture will create a younger and sedan in the lineup, which likely will be named S40. In the engine range will include three – and four-cylinder engines.
Also the XC40 crossover will get a hybrid powerplant. In the lineup of the car will take place on the step below the XC60. The main competitors crossover called the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 . Other technical details are still kept secret.
Judging by the images, the concepts will be equipped with optics in the style of “Hammer of Thor”, large vozduhotehnika. Note that Protocol photos were posted using the mobile app Snapchat. It is noted that the car will be oriented on the youth audience.
In parallel, Volvo continues to test a new generation of crossover XC60. The premiere of the car will take place next year. Later will be presented and a sports version of the new items under the name of Polestar.
