The European division of the Russian “Sberbank” Sberbank Europe recorded a loss of 218,7 million euros for 2015, reports RNS with reference to the statements of the company.
It is noted that the previous year the figure was only 3.4 million euros. Net interest income for the year also decreased from 277 million to 260 million euros.
The head of Sberbank Europe Axel Hummel tied a negative result with the termination of the company’s business in Slovakia and the change of legislation in the field in Croatia. In the European countries operate 280 branches and group more than 5 thousand people.
