Belarus reversed the decision on increase of tariffs for oil transportation via pipelines of joint-stock companies “Gomeltransneft Friendship” and “Polotsktransneft Friendship”. The corresponding decree of the Ministry of Antimonopoly regulation and trade published on the national Internet portal.

The previous resolution of 28 September, which the tariffs have been increased by 1.5 times, revoked.

Disagreements of the parties on the issue of gas prices occurred early in the year, in September, failed to agree. In particular, the Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov said that a thousand cubic meters should cost $ 80, not 132 dollars (the current price for Belarus). This was followed by the increase in tariffs for oil transportation.

On 10 October the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk and Moscow settled the dispute in the oil and gas sector.

On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko said that the price of Russian gas for the Republic will be significantly reduced. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has denied this information.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that Belarus until October 20 to fully repay the debt on payments for Russian gas, the total of which exceeds $ 300 million.
