The researchers, oceanographers reported that they managed to find the remains of sharks, which were not previously known to science.
During the exploration of the oceanic spaces, a group of scientists consisting of specialists of several countries, have discovered the remains of a prehistoric shark.
Its length, from the size of the teeth considerably exceeded four meters.
In this case, the shark was 20 million years ago a very extensive habitat. The remains of this species were found by experts from the coast of California and Japan, and not far from the coast of Peru and North Carolina. Of this, the specialists concluded that this monster was very common almost throughout the waters of the present Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
Examining their findings, the researchers came to the conclusion that this prehistoric species was the progenitor of the largest predatory sharks of today: white and Mako.
