Scientists do not recommend to go to bed on an empty stomach

Recent scientific work in the field of Oncology showed the importance of a healthy regime: changing some lifestyle factors, you can protect yourself from serious health problems. It turns out that the duration of night abstinence from food significantly affects the risk of breast cancer recurrence. Increase the duration of sleep, and abstinence from food, can be regarded as a simple and effective non-drug method for the prevention of breast cancer recurrence.

These findings were based on data collected during a prospective study conducted in the period from 1995 to 2007. The study involved 2 413 participants aged 27-70 years with breast cancer at an early stage.

The analysis carried out in 2015, showed that the period of fasting between lunch and Breakfast at least 13 hours initially, increased by 36% the risk of breast cancer recurrence compared with the fasting period between dinner and Breakfast more than 13 hours.

According to the authors, similar effects are associated with regulation of blood sugar levels during fasting, during the night, however, they also apply to sleep – in the direction of improving its quality. In addition to this, increase the time between dinner and Breakfast can potentially reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and prevent some cardiovascular disease.
