In the vicinity of the Solar system there is no black holes, but scientists-astronomers believe that this region of space could, through its gravitational field to destroy planet Earth in seconds.
The closest black holes is from us at a distance of 2.8 thousand light years. This celestial object is called A0620-00 and located in that part of Space, which is 700 times farther from the nearest star to Earth.
But scientists say that the space is dangerous for our planet, because it is formed from a heavy duty explosion of a star. Gamma radiation, which occurs in the process of this explosion could kill all living creatures on Earth, despite the huge distance of thousands of light years.
Experts say that the ozone ball, which protects the Earth from gamma radiation, can protect it from solar radiation but from the effects of supernova explosions can’t save. Because if the Space is formed another black hole, then all creatures on our planet can burn for a few seconds.
