Table size directly affect the appetite of the person, said American scientists. It turned out, the person may not notice the difference of sizes of food if he is at the big table.
The researchers observed more than 200 students, in front of them on tables of different sizes stacked the plates with the usual pizza. On large tables before volunteers put the meals with a pizza, which was pre-cut into 8 pieces and at 16, then a similar plate was put at small sizes.
It was found that for large tables, subjects did not distinguish the size of the pieces and ate relatively little. For smaller tables, the students consciously chosen large pieces. Thus, scientists made a final conclusion that large tables definitely distract attention from the size of the food.
