Scientists have shown, as the end of winter on Mars.
Space Agency NASA has published a picture taken on Mars, which you can see sand dunes, covered with an evaporating stones.
Evaporation of the stones is due to the transformation (sublimation) of solid rock into gas under the influence of the sun. In the pictures you can see how the carbon dioxide evaporates, destroying the stones. It’s the dark lines in the photo. The Agency clarifies that this process traditionally can be observed during the change of season, the end of the Martian winter.
Unique image from Mars was taken using a special camera HiRISE (High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment), which relates to the station MRO (Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter).
