Astronaut posted a photo of a rare cloud from the ISS Commander 48 of the ISS crew Jeff Williams on his Twitter page, shared the spectacular noctilucent clouds – the highest clouds in the Earth’s atmosphere.
In the caption to the photo, Williams tweeted: “impressively mysterious! Finally a great view of the rare noctilucent clouds”. Noctilucent (night shining clouds) – sparse clouds, which are formed at a height of 76 to 85 kilometers above the Earth’s surface.
According to some scholars, they are a sign of global warming, other scholars associate them with space dust.
