Turkish and American scientists have named one of the possible ways to avoid insomnia. A study published in the journal Social Psychological and Personality Science, briefly about it reports the edition EurekAlert!

Uninterrupted sleep, as the researchers note, is possible when there is a willing partner. This is due, according to experts, with the emergence from hibernation of a sense of security.

“Our results show that people with responsive partners experience less anxiety and arousal, which in turn improves the quality of their sleep,” said the study’s lead author Emre Selcuk of middle East technical University (Ankara).

To such conclusions scientists have come, using data from the American project, Midlife Development, including collecting statistics about the quality of life and factors affecting it, middle-aged people.

In March, doctors from the USA have shown that NAPs longer than 40 minutes may be hazardous to health. In particular, it dramatically increases the likelihood of developing diseases associated with metabolic disorders and leads to increased blood pressure, cholesterol level, increase the volume of adipose tissue in the waist and increase the level of blood sugar.
