Scientists have described a possible variant of formation of the bend in the Hawaiian-Emperor underwater ridge in the Pacific ocean.

Geophysicists have created a computer model of a possible way of formation of the underwater Hawaiian-Emperor ridge. In the video it is noticeable that the scientists took into account all the possible factors and designed intended trajectory and the inclination of the plumes, which make up the ridge. Scientists assumed that about 50-100 million years ago in the North Pacific ocean in the deep lower mantle is formed of abnormal flow, provoked by the penetration of one lithospheric plate under another. The cause of hot spots experts believe the plume directed in the direction of the earth’s crust. Geophysicists also do not deny the influence of the periodic disturbances in the Earth’s mantle.
