Spanish astronomers showed that the asteroid 2016 HO3 discovered in April 2016 in a few million years will cease to be kazipoteka of the Earth. On this study published on the website arXiv.org.
Within a few million years 2016 HO3, as shown by the astronomers, will be in the status of quasistatic or transition to it orbital configurations. To such conclusions scientists have come, using computer simulation in the framework of the gravitational problem of N bodies.
Research conducted earlier by other astronomers, showed that close to Earth orbit in 2016 HO3 is for the last 100 years and will remain about the same another 300 years. In this regard, scientists have concluded that the asteroid will stay close to the Ground over the next few hundred years.
Kazipoteka is called the object with the planet in orbital resonance 1:1 (the orbital period of the object and the planets around the Sun are the same). However, celestial bodies are different eccentricities (elongation of the orbit), which over time leads to divergence of objects in space.
Currently, the Earth is five quasispherical (including 2016 HO3). Four of the asteroid in the next 100 years can pass in this category. In addition to the Earth, such objects have with other planets in the Solar system, especially Venus and Neptune.
The object 2016 HO3 is the closest to the planet and has the smallest dimensions (the diameter reaches 26-115 meters). The minimum distance between 2016 and HO3 Land 38 is equal to the distance between the planet and the Moon, the maximum is 100.
