The administration of Facebook has made an official statement regarding the start of development of its own analogue platform for distribution of computer games.
Soon they plan to compete with the leader of this segment of the market – Steam.
The product is developed with the participation of the creators of the popular Unity engine. As indicated on page of the official Facebook blog, the new platform will be a powerful tool to promote different games. The creators of the new service believe that their product will allow game developers to significantly expand its audience. In addition, the launch of the service will significantly simplify the process of hosting an entertainment apps in the social network.
