According to studies, children who eat with family at least three times a week, for 24 % more likely to eat healthy foods than those who do it less frequently.

2. Classical music in restaurants

3. Work at night

The human body is designed to sleep when there’s light, and eat during the day. “Working at night contributes to excess weight because it disrupts the physiological cycle, and this leads to a decrease in total daily energy expenditure”, say the researchers. 4. Too short a sleep

It is scientifically proven that lack of sleep affects the excess weight. The reason is that sleep plays an important role in energy metabolism. When we don’t sleep enough, we eat more: in this way our body adapts to maintain wakefulness.

5. Environmental pollution

It is proved that the effects of some pollutants increases the risk to gain excess weight. This is explained by the fact that some of them accumulate in fatty tissue. They enter the body through foods that are high in fat, such as meat and oily fish.

6. Long watching TV

If you spend more than 2 hours each day watching television, the risk of obesity increases by 23 %.

Sleep in front of the TV increases the chance. According to the research, exposure to artificial light during sleep lowers melatonin levels (the hormone that protects us from metabolic disorders). As a consequence, triggers obesity and diabetes.

7. Eating foods “low in fat”

The researchers came to the conclusion that the consumption of dairy products with high fat content is better for the body. These foods are more satisfying than fat free or light fat, and carry a much smaller risk of obesity.

In addition, nutritionists say that many products that advertise as low fat, in reality have a large number of calories.
