This is found researchers from the University of Tasmania, who conducted research in Facebook. The results published in the journal Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking.
According to scientists, their goal was to assess the consequences arising from the use of his alter ego in a social network. The authors compared the true and the virtual identity of users, degree of social attachment and psychological well-being, level of anxiety, stress and depression. The study involved 164 people who completed questionnaires.
