Belarus has raised by 50% excise tax on pumping oil from Russia

From 11 October, Belarus in half taking off tariffs for transit of oil via main pipelines “Gomeltransneft Friendship” and “Polotsktransneft Friendship”. The corresponding decree was adopted by the Ministry of Antimonopoly regulation and trade on 28 September.

Oil comes from Russia through Belarus to Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Ukraine.

The last time the brotherly Republic increased tariffs for transportation of Russian oil eight months ago.

On Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich refused to guarantee the Belarusians a discount on gas, kotori was made by President Alexander Lukashenko. According to him, earlier in the week, the parties will negotiate on the price of “blue fuel”.
