The first mass Audi car with a fully electric propulsion will be a crossover.
Audi, starting in 2018, will produce one electrocare or plug-in hybrid every year. This was announced by the head of the German brand, Rupert Stadler at the annual General meeting of Audi.
The first mass Audi car with a fully electric propulsion will be a crossover, which is expected to be called the Q6 e-tron. The production of new items will adjust in 2018 at the plant in Brussels, where also will be produce batteries for the model.
A prototype of an electric crossover has become the experimental vehicle q-tron quattro, shown in September 2015 at the Frankfurt motor show. The concept equipped with three electric motors: one on the front axle and two on the back. In addition, Rupert Stadler confirmed that in 2017 Audi will introduce the A8 model of the next generation. It is expected that the novelty will receive a lot of stylistic decisions from the concept car prologue, which debuted in late 2014.
