The first theory suggests that a star moving past our star system, accidentally pulled Planet X, leaving it on a strange orbit. However, the likelihood of such a scenario only 10%, reported in an article of the journal Astrophysical Journal Letters.
At the same time planet X could be a lonely wandering exoplanet, pulled our Solar system. Although to count on such a scenario is possible only with a probability of 2%.
