A group of archaeologists from the University of Vernadsky in the process of the study of ancient settlement Eski-Kermen on the territory of Bakhchisaray district has made a number of discoveries.
Studies in 2016 was carried out in three locations: near the North gate on an elevated road, as well as on the mound.
Archaeologists in the course of work discovered some ancient unique items. The first of these is a bronze plaque of circular form, depicting birds of prey, which affects the hare. The second discovery was a bronze coin of Chersonesos dial) 350-330 B. E., which was with a whiter ceramics of the late period (THIRTEENTH century).
The leader of the expedition, Professor Alexander Aibabin, said that near the settlement also found the road paved for him to plateau, the ruins of an ancient stone quarry and the remains dwuhfazno defensive structures – walls, a width of two meters. It is made of local limestone. Archaeological work has allowed scientists to identify this territory two cultural layer of the ancient settlement Eski-Kermen.
