Ancient reptiles lived on the continent about 95-98 million years ago
Scientists have discovered in Australia the remains of a previously unknown species of huge plant-eating dinosaurs — savannasamson. Growth, they are equal to modern giraffes, and the body length of the fossil was 15 meters.
A new species of dinosaur researchers attributed to the family of titanosaurs. According to Australian paleontologists, ancient reptiles lived on the continent about 95-98 million years ago, reported in the journal Scientific Reports.
Titanosaurs in those days were distributed throughout the Land. Their remains find in South America. Ancient reptiles have inhabited the planet about 105 million years ago.
Then global warming has destroyed the natural land route from South America to Australia via Antarctica. Australian scientists continue to research and study of the titanosaurs.
