The scientific staff of the University of Texas at Dallas have created a new algorithm that allows to weave artificial muscles.
Experts focus attention on what is important in this case is not a subject that was taken as a basis, namely the technology of production.
Scientists stressed that even from the line, can produce high-quality artificial muscles. The basis technology was the method of weaving animal hair and the process of plant materials.
The complete analysis of the system the research staff developed new strands, which differ slightly from natural fibres. Experts said that it is possible to use nanotubes and conventional polymer yarn, because the effect will be about the same. The researchers noted that artificial muscles are very sensitive to temperature changes, which once again confirms their similarity with the human. Experts did not stop there and found a way to make a “growing” muscle.
With the new design they got an improved material that increases with time. Apparently, with the use of robotics can be programmed filament growth over time. The scientific staff continue to work on the creation of modern artificial muscles.
In the future, they hope to receive special textiles, which you can use to choose the shape and size according to the user priority.
