Microsoft and Xiaomi claim that the sale of patents, is the beginning of a long-term cooperation.
Ideas that have accumulated over the years, Microsoft’s presence in the smartphone market, is going to the East. American company sells about 1,500 patents Chinese Xiaomi.
Under the agreement, Xiaomi takes on the obligation to install on their smartphones and tablets Skype, Office and other Microsoft applications.
The patents bought by a Chinese company, Microsoft, are associated with cloud computing, multimedia, video and wireless. As noted by senior Vice President of Xiaomi, Wang Xiang, they will complement 3700 patents, applications for which the company filed last year.
