Teenagers consume twice the daily allowance of salt. This leads to obesity and inflammation regardless of total calorie intake, showed the observation of 766 adolescents. 97% of them consumed more than 1,500 milligrams of sodium per day.

In any case, experts urge not to add to the diet, emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables, to abandon processed meat products, harmful snacks and French fries.
