In Bulgaria, scientists have discovered the world’s oldest gold jewelry – bead, which, according to experts, is 6500 thousand years old.
This finding surpassed the previous – ornaments from the Varna necropolis, which was found in 1972-1991 years near the black sea city, also on the territory of modern Bulgaria.
Previous find put scientists in a difficult position – they are unable to explain how migrants from Anatolia to the Balkans, engaged in agriculture, learned to smelt gold jewelry. The find was dated to the end of the fifth Millennium BC.
