The world Bank predicts an increase in the price of oil next year to $ 55 per barrel instead of the previously expected $ 53 per barrel. About it reports RIA Novosti, referring to the world Bank.
This decision was taken due to the fact that according to the forecast in 2017, 25% increase in energy prices, including the price of oil, natural gas and coal. At the same time, the forecast for oil prices in the current year left at $ 43 per barrel.
“We expect strong growth in energy prices, particularly oil, in the next year. However, there is significant uncertainty around the prospects, as we expect the details and the implementation of the agreement of OPEC, which, if it materializes, will no doubt impact on the oil markets,” said senior world Bank economist John Baffes.
