Scientists from the University of St Andrews have developed a new input method for the new hours, the technology is called WatchMI.
Now the clock can be managed using a wider range of gestures and movements.
The developers have created a system WatchMI, which clock you can manage the usual gestures, but with extended functionality. The system uses a gyroscope and accelerometer, which are used in most devices of this type. WatchMI uses scrolling and zoom for activities such as menu selection, zooming in Google Maps, and the main character in the game, besides the system recognizes the amount of pressure it allows you to quickly dial the desired text.
The developers have added another unusual feature in your watch, now they can be controlled without touching the display. But that’s not all of the functions of WatchMI. It is planned that its presentation will be held in September at the exhibition MobileHCI 2016.
