Ukrainian athletes on the 31-year-old the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro won 11 medals.
At the Games in Brazil, the Ukraine sent 206 athletes home with medals going back to 13 people. Rio won 11 medals (2 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze) – worst performance of Ukraine in the history of performances at the summer Olympics as an independent state.
The most productive for Ukraine became gymnastics – two medals Oleg Vernaeve and the award of the bronze samples Anna Rizatdinova. Two awards brought rowing and Canoeing, as well as the fencing. One modern pentathlon, athletics, shooting and wrestling.
Multimodality Ukraine at the Olympics in Rio were Oleg Verniaiev (gold and silver in gymnastics), and Olga Harlan (silver and bronze in fencing). Canoeist Yuri Cheban took gold for the second Olympics in a row, to repeat the achievements of boxer Vasyl Lomachenko and swimmer Yana Klochkova.
