To such conclusions scientists have come, having conducted a meta-analysis of 16 papers devoted to the impact of a sedentary lifestyle on health status. The data is based on information about more than a million men and women, most of whom live in the EU, USA and Australia.

According to a study published in March 2016 by the Brazilian physicians, a sedentary lifestyle leads to increased risk of premature death. To reduce the risk can, according to scientists, only a reduction in time spent in sedentary, but not exercise.
