In our country today marks the anniversary of the opening of the XXII winter Olympic games in Sochi. I think, 7 February 2014 the Russians will be remembered for a long time. Exactly 2 years ago at the stadium “Fisht” held a colourful launch ceremony of the Olympics, where it directly observed 40 thousand people, and another three billion people on the planet could watch it live. The spectacle was Grand, with it to argue difficult.
In Games took part 2800 athletes from 88 countries. The Sochi Olympics for Russia, of course, was triumphal. In overall medal standings, our team took first place and renewed the national record for gold medals and total medals at the winter Olympics. Our boys managed to win 33 medals – 13 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze.
Today, of course, Sochi will celebrate. Already at 9 am in the capital of Olympics-2014 Olympic exercises students gathered educational center “Sirius” – the present heritage of the past Olympics. Then at the Olympic facilities of the coastal cluster will host several master classes. A number of events planned in Moscow, the focus is on the largest Metropolitan rinks – ENEA, Gorky Park and GUM-skating rink on the red square. Master classes in figure skating, short track, ice hockey, Curling, autograph sessions with Olympic Champions and prize winners of the Games, various contests, quizzes, sweepstakes Olympic paraphernalia… a lot of interesting things. Of course, we have to remember; the Olympics in Sochi in 2014 – is an occasion for pride.Russia demonstrated to the world, responsibility and hospitality, brilliantly conducted these competitions. And again I want to thank the organizers of this event, it was great!
