Display Samsung Galaxy S8 will occupy more than 90% of the front panel.
Galaxy S8 edge will be equipped with Snapdragon or Exynos 8895 830 with a 10-nm process technology, 6, or 8 GB of RAM (8 GB will probably be an exclusive version for China).
Meanwhile, the device, according to the same source, will have a 5.5-inch 4K display, which will occupy 80% of the front panel. But is it true?
Chief engineer, S-LCD, a company owned by Samsung and produces displays, Park Bonsang through the Korean media said that next year Samsung will release smartphones with displays that cover more than 90% of the front panel, and will increase this figure up to 99% in the next couple of years.
In other words, we will receive a smartphone with a front panel which is a display only. Bonsang, unfortunately, did not specify what kind of smartphone it is, however, everyone and everything is clear.
In this case, if the front part of the device will consist of display, you can expect a scanner built into the display, however, as we will see, probably only with the release of Galaxy S9, as in the case with 90% coverage of the front panel display is still the place to put the scanner outside the perimeter of the display.
