The international football Association Board has changed the rules of the game

Международный совет футбольных ассоциаций изменил правила игры

The international football Association Board (IFAB) upheld the test video replays in football to help referees sort out the disputed episodes, reports Agence France-Presse.

As reported by Telegraph, the IFAB approved the “Protocol list” to experiment on video. Tests of video replays should start before the season is 2017/18. Earlier it was reported that the first testing systems may be implemented in the season-2016/17.

According to media reports, 13 countries have expressed interest in testing the new system, reports RIA “Novosti”.

Also, the international football Association Board in the next two years plans to change the rule of “triple punishment” (penalty automatic red card for a foul in the penalty area), reports TASS.

In addition, approved in the test mode the opportunity to the coaches to make four substitutions in matches with extra time. Fourth replacement can be carried out only in extra time. During the main time of the match changes, as before, will remain three.

It is unknown at what period and in what competitions will be held testing the new rule.

The President of the International football Federation (FIFA) Gianni Infantino has said that the international football Association Board adopted a historic decision for the sport.

“Today we really took a historic decision for football. In making this decision, we listened to the needs of football. I want to thank my colleagues from IFAB. Proud to be a part of it,” said Infantino.

The international football Association Board was established in 1886, and in 1906 was officially recognized by FIFA as a body regulating and “protecting” rules of the game of football. The Council consists of eight equal voting members: four representatives of FIFA and one each from the football federations of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
