The head of Peruvian state oil company Petroperu Herman Velasquez retired after the third spill for the year, according to Diario Perú 21.
The Minister of energy and mines, Rosa Maria Ortiz announced that the company transported oil without a permit, because after the previous spills her work was suspended.
In Petroperu carried out the investigation with the purpose of determination of circle of persons, authorizing the operation of the pipeline after the ban.
In February it was reported that the breakthrough in the Petroperu pipeline resulted in a leak of 3 million barrels of oil and pollution of two rivers in the North-West of the country.
