At the motor show to debut concept SUV SsangYong LIV-2.
The company SsangYong has released the first official images of the conceptual crossover SUV LIV-2, which is the forerunner model of the next-generation Rexton. The premiere will be held in late September at the Paris motor show.
The prototype is made in the style of a concept car LIV-1, which debuted at the 2013 year at the motor show in Seoul. Project production SUV currently known under the internal designation of Y400.
It’s expected that the Rexton will be built on a completely new platform, ladder type, which will later become the basis of the Korando Sports pick-up new generation (in Russia, sold under the name Action Sports). Thanks to another chassis, the SUV will get approximately 50 pounds lighter predecessor.
Gamma motor will include former new 2,2-litrovyi diesel, which is the current model develops 178 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with seven-speed automatic transmission Mercedes-Benz. The Rexton will be available new petrol supercharged “four” and eight-speed automatic transmission.
