The Finnish leadership is not rigidly reacted to Russia’s actions in Syria. This opinion was expressed by the diplomat, a former adviser to the Finnish ex-President, doctor of social and political Sciences Alpo Rusi, reports Yle.

“We must clearly say that Russia is in Syria killing innocent people,” said Russ, noting that Finland should undertake in common with Sweden, Denmark and the Baltic policy towards Russia. According to him, this would allow Finland to take a strong and principled attitude to the Eastern neighbor.

According to Russia, Russia for Finland — the same threat as in the post-war years, when Russia believed that Finland is in the zone of its influence. After the events in Ukraine, Finland cannot remain an outside observer of the processes taking place in the Baltic region, says Russia. In his opinion, Finland should join NATO together with Sweden in 2018.

Earlier, Finnish Minister for foreign Affairs Timo Soini said that Russia plays a Central role in the situation around Aleppo, where the bombs killed civilians.
