The atmosphere of the game reminds of Metro 2033.
Company 4A Games officially announced its new game. The creators of the popular post-apocalyptic series Metro decided to please the audience with a project called Arktika.1.
The new game takes place in the future. Rewind time 100 years ahead, the developers have plunged the Earth into an ice age, leaving the Equatorial zone, the only habitable region. However, the people established small colonies on resource rich lands. One of these colonies in Russia and will visit the players, protecting them from marauders, raiders, and “strange creatures”.
“Arktika.1 is a full-fledged AAA game. We have armed experience in work with high-quality shooters using for the creation of new opportunities offered by virtual reality. Glasses allow Oculus to immerse the players deeper into the game, so it was a shame not to take advantage of this opportunity,” said creative Director of the team 4A Games, Andrew Prokhorov.
The atmosphere of the game reminds of Metro 2033. Anyway, the game is not tied to the post-apocalyptic series directly. But fans of the adventures of Artyom should not be upset. Arktika.1 is one of two projects the Studio is working at the moment. The release shooter to virtual reality goggles is scheduled for the second quarter of 2017.
