Канадский подросток обнаружил систему в расположении городов майя

Historians and archaeologists studying the Mayan civilization in the coming years will be able to enhance their knowledge. According to the newspaper ABC, thanks to the discovery made a 15 year old kid from Canada, they had the opportunity to find previously unknown city built this tribe thousands of years ago.

William of Gauri was the first who discovered a regularity in the location of the Mayan cities. Before him, no scientist noticed a connection between their location and the constellations depicted in the Maya codices (to date, survived only three documents, they are stored in Dresden, Paris and Madrid).

“I didn’t understand why the Mayans built their cities away from the rivers on the barren lands and in the mountains. Had to be some reason,” he told Gauri. The teenager noticed that the stars correspond to 117 cities, and the brighter the star, the more important was the city. But one of them was missing.

According to the theory of Gauri, 118th settlement was located in a remote place on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Research carried out by several international space agencies, showed that there does exist a pyramid and about 30 buildings. On satellite imagery showing rectangular and square shapes, which cannot have a natural origin.

Yet no one dared to go to the place in search of the city, this expedition will be very expensive. However, archaeologists have already promised Gauri take it with you.
