“Hubble” discovered in the constellation of Hercules lone large galaxy.
Telescope “Hubble” has made the spiral galaxy MCG+07-33-027.
As reported on the website of the telescope, the galaxy is unique in that the process of star formation is taking place much more actively than in other galaxies.
Usually galaxies are born a few stars per year, but in MCG+07-33-027 the process of star formation is hundreds of times faster. The telescope “Hubble”you can see the region of active star formation in the arms of the galaxy.
In order to actively produce the stars, the galaxy must contain a large cloud of gas. The formation of stars out of it, usually starts after a collision with another galaxy. However, MCG+07-33-027 is located at a considerable distance from their neighbors, so the clash with them is impossible. The reasons why the galaxy so quickly produces new stars, yet astronomers can’t explain.
Previously, astronomers have noticed that a small galaxy located in the Sculptor group, postemenopausal the gravitational influence of a giant galaxy, situated right next door to hers. The newly discovered galaxy belongs to a class of dwarf spheroidal galaxies, but, unlike other such galaxies, it has an elongated shape, is directed towards NGC 253. This form of the galaxy may indicate that it affects the gravitational influence of a larger galaxy, which acts more strongly on the near side.
