Tatneft filed a lawsuit against Kolomoisky in the case of “Ukrtatnafta”

Tatneft has initiated court proceedings in England against a number of Ukrainian businessmen, including Igor Kolomoisky, in the case of oil supplies to the Kremenchug refinery. About it reports “Interfax”.

The company is required to indemnify 334 million dollars damages and interest. In addition to Kolomoisky, the lawsuit appears Gennady Bogolyubov, Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy and Pavel Ovcharenko. Tatneft claims that in 2009 the businessmen fraudulently appropriated funds owed the company for oil, delivered to Kremenchuk oil refinery, owned by “Ukrtatnafta”.

The company “Ukrtatnafta” was established in accordance with decrees of presidents of Ukraine and Tatarstan in 1994 on the basis of the Kremenchug refinery. Tatarstan together with JSC “Tatneft” has transferred to its authorized capital, mining stocks and funds, but in 2007 the control over the enterprise the Russian side was lost due to the actions of the group “Privat” Kolomoisky and businessman Alexander Yaroslavsky. The position of the head of the enterprise took Ovcharenko.

In 2007 the Russian company, which was a major supplier of raw materials to the enterprise, has stopped the supply of oil. In may 2008, she appealed to the international court of justice a claim against Ukraine worth over a billion dollars, as he felt that that violated the rights of Tatneft as a shareholder.

In July 2014, the international commercial arbitration court in Paris upheld the claim of the Russian company in the amount of $ 100 million. However, the funds have not been listed, reported Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on the sidelines of the Gaidar forum in January of this year. Court of appeal of Paris on 18 October, will begin its consideration on the merits of Ukraine on the decision of international arbitration.

The Kremenchug refinery is the largest in Ukraine oil refinery. Facilities are designed for processing more than 18 million tons of oil per year.

Tatneft is one of the largest oil companies in Russia. It accounts for about 8 percent of all domestically produced oil and more than 80% produced in Tatarstan.
