The popularity of Snapchat growing rapidly.
Service for messaging with pictures and videos Snapchat surpassed Twitter in daily users. If the first use every day 150 million people, the second — “only” 140 million.
Officially, none of the companies did not disclose the number of active daily users. However, it is reported that in this respect, Snapchat continues to grow, while Twitter froze on the spot.
For Snapchat this is a huge achievement, while Twitter is a very bad sign. The messenger hasn’t even turned five years old, but the microblogging service has already exceeded ten. Despite the fact that Twitter plays an important role in social and news areas, with growth in the last few years the service has had problems. Recently the number of monthly Twitter users and generally decreased. At the same time, Snapchat continues to grow — in December, the number of its daily users still amounted to 110 million.
Regarding the number of monthly Snapchat users information is not available, however, most likely, in this respect, Twitter is ahead of messenger. However, if the number of daily Snapchat users will continue to grow so fast, Twitter may soon lose its leadership position.
It should be remembered that Snapchat still has more powerful competitors. Facebook, for example, keeps far ahead — the number of active daily users is 1.09 billion.
