Italian scientists have recreated the voice of the European copper age.
The researchers were able to create a three-dimensional model of the vocal tract “ice man”, based on the data of computed tomography of the mummy of ötzi.
It was a complete reconstruction of the vocal tract, from the relationship and shape of the mouth.
The differences between a real voice and a reconstruction is, of course, but the basic similarity of the play was a success.

The “ice man” was found by hikers in the Alps in 1991. For a good preservation of the mummy, the experts at first suggested that the dead climber, and then it turned out that the find belongs to the bronze age. At the time of his death ötzi was 45 years old.
